Re: Sell my .45 stash
As big of a revolver fan that I am....you need to have at least 1 or 2 pure fighting pistols.....and by that i mean a high capacity semi-auto. Caliber of your choice. For me that means 9mm Glocks.
If you do have 1 or 2 pistols that meet this requirement.....then sell whatever you like. Otherwise cover this requirement first. As for reloading. Keep it simple to start. Get a single stage press. Lee has a basic kit for about $100. Dies are about $30/caliber. Priority #1 is get some primers...these are the hardest items to locate right now....get all you reasonably can ASAP...even prior to the equipment. You will only be able to find primers local....no chance of getting them online at this moment (been that way for months....). After primers get whatever other components you can. |
Re: Sell my .45 stash
Never sell.

Re: Sell my .45 stash
The standing philosophy should be:
"Buy. Buy cheap if you can, but BUY!" Can you imagine yourself in two years saying, "Man am I ever sorry I kept all that .45 ACP stuff! Having said that, if you decide to sell, PM me and I'll take all the 1911 stuff and the ammo. :-) PS Can anyone remember where the "Buy!..." philosophy comes from??? |

Things have really dried up recently, and seem to be getting even "drier", if that's possible. First it was the US made primers that disappeared, then Wolf small pistol/small rifle, then the large pistol/rifle. That left the "magnum" primers in various sizes, which seem to have disappeared over the past few weeks. Get what you can while the gettin's good. |

Re: Sell my .45 stash
I'll be contrary and tell ya I've got a USP out on purchase/loan test since yesterday.
My defense is 9mm...scads of it & them. Don't need the four five. I think you're being fairly reasonable. |
